Intelligent Cabaret Act
Fascinating Aida was officially born in March 1983 when they were offered a chance to write a couple of songs for Stop the Week programme on BBC Radio 4. After that, work came thick and fast and what had been a pleasant diversion soon became a full time occupation.
In 1985, a BBC 2 documentary about the group's unwilling entry into the world of pop music catapulted them from total obscurity into relative obscurity and since then they have toured the UK, Ireland and Australia with great success. Their album, 'Sweet F.A.' is available in BBC records. Not content with writing and performing all their own material, F.A. have brought out their somewhat premature biography ('Elm Tree Books'). In familiar candid style they tell it almost as it was, only glamorising the dull bits and avoiding libel wherever possible.
These three glamorous sirens seduce audiences with their skilfully crafted blend of gorgeous wit, wickedly acerbic satire and heart - wrenching observations on love. Nothing is sacred as Fascinating Aida disclose their incisive wisdom of a whole new world of satirical targets. Prepare for an evening of elegant and excessive entertainment. |
