Authority on Electronic Business
Peter Cunningham is the President of INPUT, a company he founded in 1974. He is co-author (with Froeschl) of the book 'Electronic Business Revolution - Opportunities and Challenges in the 21st Century' published by Springer in September 1999. INPUT provides Electronic Business information and advice to IT buyers and vendors through a network of international units. INPUT has successfully predicted major changes in the IT world including the pc revolution, trends to outsourcing and systems integration, restructuring of IT organisations, growth of software applications such as SAP, the explosive force of the Internet and the Intranet and now the emergence of Electronic Business (EB). EB represents the change of IT from a support function to an embedded part of business processes thereby changing those processes. Peter Cunningham also acts as consultant to companies in Asia, Europe and North America on IT, particularly in the IT software and services industry; IT industry trends and market opportunities; Internet/Intranet and electronic commerce; and electronic business. Previously, he was a Founder and President of J.W. Goodhew and Associates Inc. in Washington DC, a data processing consulting company. He was formerly with Management Science America, responsible for data processing projects in government and industry, and with C.E.I.R., for whom he worked on systems development and in management. He started his career with ICL in London in systems software development. He holds a BSc. (Physics), and is an Associate of the Royal College of Science, Imperial College, London. He also obtained an M.P.A. (Technology of Management) from The American University, Washington D.C. |
