During his career, George Martin has formed and run several recording, production and music publishing companies (Parlophone, AIR, Air Studios and George Martin Music) and has recorded a wide range of diverse artists. In all, George has produced 22 No. 1 singles and 19 No.1 albums in the U.S., as well as, 30 No.1 singles and 16 No 1 albums in the U.K. He has also written the background scores for nine movies and has received five Grammy Awards.
