Graham Norton is a complete one-off. His talk-show So Graham Norton is irreverent, mischievous and downright hilarious, there is nothing quite like it anywhere in the world.
Graham started playing his one man shows at the Edinburgh Festival from 1992 until 1997, most of which played residencies in London and toured throughout the UK. His 1997 show was nominated for a Perrier Award. This inevitably brought him plenty of attention, enough to make his move from stage to TV. He co-presented 25 shows of Carnal Knowledge, an adult orientated game show, hosted 3 series of Bring Me The Head of Light Entertainment, was a regular guest presenter on channel 5's Jack Docherty Show and made several appearances as 'Father Noel' on Channel 4's Father Ted.
Although all successful in their own right, nothing came close to his flagship show So Graham Norton. The delightful Irishman asks his guests the most outrageous and personal questions imaginable, and usually manages to get the answer before driving them to tears of laughter or embarrassment. He has re-enacted sex scenes from Tarzan The Ape Man, with Anne Robinson as Jane and Miles O'Keefe in his original role as Lord of the Jungle, called psychic hotlines with Joan Collins and set up an online sex chat with a reluctant Ivana Trump and a lady called 'Greta with the Grosse Titten'.
Graham has won numerous awards for his comedy, including Best Chat Show at the British Comedy Awards 1999, Gay Personality of the Year at the Gaytime TV awards 1999 and Best British Newcomer at the Comedy awards in 1997.
2001 saw a fourth series of So Graham Norton and a video release of his stand-up act was released towards the end of the year. He is also premiering on US TV.
To sum him up in a sentence, Graham is cheeky, uproarious and laugh-out-loud funny. Don't expect a quiet night in his company, just an outrageously good time. You have been warned.
