Frederic S. Mishkin, author of 'The Economics of Money, Banking and Financial Markets', is the Alfred Lerner Professor of Banking and Financial Institutions at the Graduate School of Business, Columbia University. He was a member of the Board of Governors at the Federal Reserve System from 2006-08. He is also a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research, a Senior Fellow at the FDIC Center for Banking Research and was President of the Eastern Economic Association.
