Steve Williams MBE is a British Rower and Double Olympic Champion. He was selected in the men's four for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and won the gold medal, defending the title he won in 2004. Steve is the reigning Olympic Champion in the men's four and has been World Champion four times. He won his 4th world title in 2006 when taking gold with the men's four in the World Championships at Eton. In the 2008 World Cup series he raced in the men's four finishing 1st, 8th and 2nd.

In detailSteve was first selected for the Great Britain squad in 1998. A year later he won Gold at the World Championships in a coxed four after dominating the event. In 2001 he had an outstanding season, becoming World Champion in the coxless four, proving his crew were worthy successors to the Sydney Olympic four. He won silvers in the 2002 and 2003 World Championships. Steve defended his World Championship title in front of a home crowd in Windsor in 2006, making it his 4th World Championship title in his career.
