Chris Di Marco is a rare commodity when it comes to tributes. Why rare? Well, he not only looks like Frank Sinatra, he also sounds like him. His performances are dynamic and totally convincing. The legend and legacy left to us by the great man is still enjoyed by all age groups both young and mature. Chris Di Marco keeps this alive and will do so for many years to come.
Chris who was born in Hertfordshire, England, emigrated with his family to Toronto, Canada when he was 11 years old. It was during the 1970īs that he learned to play trombone in High School and this directed him to the music of Big Bands, Swing and Frank Sinatra.
During the early 1980īs Chris worked as a vocalist in a Rock Band with his brother, but the lure of the Big City and Bright Lights was too much to resist, so it was in 1985 that Chris moved to New York.
For the following two years he studied drama at the Bergdoff Studio in Greenwich Village leading to work in films and fashion modelling in the USA as well in Milan and Munich. Various film and television work continued and then from 1990 Chris spent the next two years in Mexico undertaking film and TV commercial assignments.
He continued his film and theatre work and for the following six years worked in Los Angeles and Ceasars Palace in Las Vegas.
Since his return to England in 1998 Chris has worked at the Palace Theatre, Westcliff-on-Sea in Essex. However, in having acquired a professional manager plus an experienced pianist/arranger/md named Peter Coates, the date sheet is filling up fast and now Chris Di Marco is extremely happy to be performing the wonderful songs made so famous by the late Great Frank Sinatra to delighted audiences.
