Bruce has proved himself to be a dab hand at brewing yet again with the introduction of a third beer to the TROOPER ranks. Limited edition TROOPER “Red ‘n’ Black” is a porter named after a track from the latest Iron Maiden album ‘The Book of Souls’.

Together with Robinsons head brewer, Martyn Weeks, they have developed a modern take on a traditional porter recipe that’s over 160 years’ old. Like it’s name, Red ‘n’ Black has a distinctive red and black colour, the result of a blend of chocolate and crystal malts that deliver full bodied roasted malt and caramel flavours. Whilst Robinson’s special brewing yeast provides hints of liquorice and honey giving a “delicious warming brew”.

Available from 1st September 2016 bottle (at 6.8% ABV) or in cask (at 5.8% AVB) real ale fans can pre-order Red ‘n’ Black now from the Robinsons’ online shop.
