Bruce Dickinson Sees Own Book For The First Time

Bruce Dickinson has taken delivery of his autobiography “What Does This Button Do?”. After months of writing his memoir longhand in seven A4 notebooks in between sets during Iron Maiden’s The Book of Souls Tour, the first copy was posted to the author.

The reveal was captured on camera, as Bruce excitedly tore open the packaging to see the final book design.

It’s a smart looking hardback, complete with very cool black-sprayed page edging. Bruce’s face said it all as he exclaimed “that looks absolutely brilliant”.

Examining the book, Bruce is clearly excited to finally hold the 384 printed pages of his memoirs in his hands. Flicking through, he hints at what to expect from the volume crammed with his life stories and pictures, including, much to his delight, embarrassing pictures of him as a young boy. There is also one of his early school reports, his early attempt at building a rocket and “a whole page of trousers in bad taste!”.

“It’s just really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really super cool, and I’ve just got to find out if there are any typos. Not that it makes a blind bit of difference because there’s nothing we can do about it now. God knows we’ve checked it.”

What Does This Button Do? by Bruce Dickinson will be published on 19 October 2017.
