On 17/18 November Bruce Dickinson was one of the business leaders chosen to share his story of business success with an audience of Polish entrepreneurs and innovators, which included the Congress’ honorary patron, the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda.

Held in the new Exhibition and Congress Centre in Rzeszów, Congress 590 provided a forum for sharing, discussing and debating ideas amongst specialists in business, science, politics and law. The aim of the Congress was to discover new development opportunities that will increase Poland’s economic growth, attract foreign investments and improve their standing in the world’s economic hierarchy.

Addressing the audience Bruce Dickinson spoke of how his entrepreneurial spirit took him from lead singer of Iron Maiden to Chairman of Cardiff Aviation. He went on to say how along his journey the importance of building emotional connections has been crucial to his success. He encouraged those present to spend time nurturing relationships that turn customers into lifelong fans. He also urged delegates to build better business relationships by not being afraid of talking to people instead of falling into the habit of sending an email or text.

Bruce then went on to talk about how not to be scared about throwing off the conventions of logical business thinking, and adopting a more child-like, rule-free approach. This approach to creative business thinking was, Bruce said, often when the best ideas would bite.
