They say that laughter is the best medicine. It turns out that this might not be just an old wives tale after all. Laughter has been shown to lower blood pressure, reduce stress hormones, and even help you get thin. In fact, it’s been calculated that 15 minutes of laughter can burn an extra 50 calories.

Laughter is also great for the memory. An American university study in 2012 showed that the stress hormone cortisol, which blocks our ability to retain information, can be suppressed by the simple act of laughter.

So, when booking a speaker for a corporate event, if we can find one who combines engaging content, with dynamic delivery and a healthy dose of humour, we are on to a winner.

One such speaker who can do just this is Bruce Dickinson. Best known as lead singer of the legendary Iron Maiden, Bruce is also a hugely successful business entrepreneur and a commercial pilot.

Bruce’s sense of humour shone through most recently during his keynote speech at the Crowdfinders Conference in March 2017. His upbeat and energetic delivery engaged a room full of the brightest businesses and most innovative investors, as he spoke with passion about what’s needed to successfully build a business start-up.

Bruce illustrated the need for creativity and energy, with stories from his astonishing life; stories that very often raised an appreciative laugh from his audience. He is an excellent choice for a keynote, being a true one of a kind who has achieved so much in every field he has played in.

Commenting on choosing Bruce Dickinson for their event, Will Broome Co-Founder of Crowdfinders said:

“Bruce is an excellent choice for a keynote as he’s completely unique and had achieved so much in so many different guises – from Businessman to Rockstar!

Bruce’s content was superb – fascinating and right on message for the audience of entrepreneurs and investors. Fantastic! Really up-beat, personable and full of energy. Bruce also has a great sense of humour!

The audience loved Bruce – even those more mature delegates who didn’t know much about him beforehand. His story is absolutely amazing”

Uplifting, inspirational and dosed with just the right amount of humour to ensure they are not easily forgotten, Bruce’s speaking engagements take him to events and conferences across the world.
