The World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 201724th January 2017 - 35 days ago
Thousands of world leaders gathered in Davos this January, for possibly the most critical meeting they have ever had. The numerous and diverse challenges of 2016, with presumably no fewer to be overcome in 2017, are facing people around the globe.
The theme of Davos was ‘Responsive and Responsible Leadership’ and focused on four key leadership challenges for 2017: strengthening global collaboration, revitalising economic growth, reforming capitalism and preparing for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Attending were truly global leaders who have the power and the will to make change, garner mutual understanding and, where appropriate, take action. Over the years participants have come from across all disciplines.
Among those taking part this year were Wolfgang Ischinger, Chairman of the Munich Security Conference, specialising in security and diplomacy, who chaired The Global Security Outlook panel session, as well as Lynda Gratton, leading strategic thinker, who took part in the prosperity and longevity panel discussion.
