Lord Bill Morris is renowned for his achievements as one of the UK's most prominent union leaders. Now retired from the TGWU, he is involved in a range of activities. Former non-Executive Director of the Bank of England and the Unity Trust Bank, Bill also served on the Royal Commission on the Reform of the House of Lords, the Commission for Racial Equality and the Advisory Councils of the BBC and IBA. His lifelong enthusiasm for education has led to numerous honorary degrees, and he is Chancellor of the University of Technology in Jamaica and Stafford University.
