Gail Emms MBE is a British badminton player who has achieved international success at the very top of the game. Together with her partner Nathan Robertson, she has been number one in the world at mixed doubles, All England Champion, Commonwealth gold medallist and Olympic silver medallist at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games. Since retiring, Gail has proved herself as a talented and versatile sports presenter, including stints on 4Sport show on Channel 4, Sky's badminton coverage, Radio 5 Live and A Question of Sport.

A badminton player since the age of four, Gail was first chosen to represent England in 1995. Individually, she has won gold at the 2004 European Championships and in the 2006 World Championships, while taking a bronze in the women's doubles at the 2002 Commonwealth Games, where another gold medal came as part of the England team in the mixed team event.
