Rebecca Stephens is the first British woman to summit mount Everest and has since become the first British woman to climb the highest mountain in each of the world's seven continents. Now she spends her time making regular television appearances and talking about her incredible adventures around the world.

Rebecca Stephens worked as a journalist in London for ten years. She visited Everest for the first time to report on an expedition climbing the North East Ridge. Four years later, in 1993, she returned to Everest and became the first British woman to climb it. She has appeared as a presenter on Tomorrow's World and a science series for BBC TV's Learning Zone.
