The global speaker bureau
Rory is a panellist on They Think It's All Over, the BBC1 Sports comedy quiz show. He recently completed a TV advertising campaign for British Telecom and is currently presenting Sporting Anorak on UK Gold.
Before Rory began performing on TV he wrote material for comedians and comedy shows. His writing credits include The Dave Allen Show, Alas Smith & Jones, Chelmsford 123, Saturday Live and Peter Cook's The Twelve Days Of Christmas. In 1988 he successfully made the cross over with a national tour and a TV Series of Who Dares Wins.
Rory's regular appearances on the improvised comedy shows Who's Line Is It Anyway and Have I Got News For You demonstrate his versatility as a comedy performer. He is as comfortable working from a script and has made appearances on other TV comedies such as Silver Jackanory, Don't Quote Me, About Face, Drop The Dead Donkey and Sporting Chance.
Rory has also appeared at the Edinburgh Festival in a hilarious satirical music show Death by Country with Phil Pope, with whom he has toured the UK.
As a presenter Rory is excellent, Trivial Pursuit and Hit The Town are two popular shows he is remembered for. His ability to blend dry humour even in these programmes, that were not comedy by nature is another example of his versatility as an extremely creative and witty comedian.
