Credible and versatile, Eamonn Holmes is one of the most recognised faces and voices in British broadcasting. His journalistic career spans 30 years and he is the longest-serving breakfast TV anchorman in Britain. He currently hosts Sunrise with Eamonn Holmes on Sky News. Eamonn's reign as the king of breakfast TV stems back to the launch of the newly created GMTV in 1993, which he presented for 13 years. In 2013, he was a judge on the CBBC Blue Peter talent search and in 2014 together with Ruth Langsford he co-hosted the ITV game show Gift Wrapped.

In detail

Eamonn studied journalism before beginning his broadcasting career at Ulster Television. Initially a farming reporter before moving on to sport and news, he became the youngest ever anchorman in the ITV regions, hosting Ulster Television's hour-long early evening programme Good Evening Ulster. He has won the Television, Radio & Industry Club's award for Best Satellite and Digital TV Personality for two years running and has received honorary doctorates from Queens University Belfast and Staffordshire University.
