His phenomenal success at the start of 2008 lead to Thomas Daley becoming a media celebrity, with interviews on Richard & Judy, Chris Evans, GMTV and more. Not one to rest on his laurels, he returned from Beijing and after answering all his media demands, went back to training at his usual 110%, in preparation for the European Championships, showing grit and determination to become the youngest European Men's Platform Champion in history. In 2011 Tom has achieved his highest individual score during the World Series in Mexico, securing a British record.

Tom Daley's likeable character has helped him win the BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year 2007 and the Britain's Best Award for Homegrown Talent 2008. Competing with a persistent thumb injury, Tom won the silver medal with his synchro-partner in the 10-metre synchronised-diving final. In 2008, he won the 10m platform event at the British Championships to become the youngest winner of the senior British 10m title. He won two gold medals for England at the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
