IN DETAIL
After graduating from Edinburgh University, Julie leapt at the offer to join a small wine company. A passion for wine was born and a successful career in the wine trade launched. She was Head of Wine at Guinness, Wine Development Manager for Scottish & Newcastle and Wine Manager for the Sunday Times Wine Club.

A lifelong ambition to write about wine was realised in 1992 when two local newspapers asked her to write regular columns. Julie now writes for The Sunday Express Magazine, The Daily Telegraph, The Sainsbury's Magazine, Your Choice, Asda, Signature, Wine & Food, Decanter and Bath & West Country Life amongst other titles.

At the same time, she often presents or is a guest on programmes for BBC1, BBC2, Channel 5, BSkyB, Carlton Food Network, BBC World Service Television and nearly all the BBC radio channels.

Instrumental in designing the Passport To Wine & Food weekends for CenterParcs; she also offers a popular, specialised wine tasting package to corporate bodies that are looking for something different to entertain clients or employees.
