Ray Bender is a speaker, consultant and author with 16 years experience advising CIO's and other Senior Executives on the management aspects of Information Technology. Dr. Bender was a Vice President and Research Director for Gartner Group's North American IT Executive Program for six years. Prior to joining Gartner, Ray was a Consulting Instructor at IBM's Advanced Business Institute. He has over 25 years of experience with technology organizations in sales, consulting and management positions. Ray has successfully led an organization with over 700 people and $500 million in assets. With his years of experience he explores the necessary steps private and public sector enterprises must take to manage business and technology change in order to leverage their human capital to move their businesses forward. Ray's areas of expertise are in organizational change, leadership, communications, customer service, creating alliances, and planning in a connected workplace. In his book: 'CULTURE.COM Building Corporate Culture in the Connected Workplace', he tackles the question of how to create a corporate culture that matches the new .com business strategy. He shows how failure to adapt can undermine or even destroy a company's ability to carry out its objectives. He has; a B.Sc. in History and Sociology, an MBA and a Ph.D. in Management. Dr Bender is a graduate of the U.S. Army's Command and General Staff College and is a retired Colonel. He has also served on the Business School Faculty at Teikyo Post University, Waterbury, CT.
