Dixie Dansercoer and Julie Brown are two of the most renowned Belgian polar explorers. One of UNICEF Belgium's eight goodwill ambassadors, Dixie has led numerous expeditions including the most recent In the Wake of the Belgic, a sailing expedition to the Antartic Peninsula. In 1999, Dixie and Julie co-founded Circles, a self-motivation program that draws from both of their experiences as climbers, explorers and adventurers.

Dixie has a long history of adventures and explorations which includes traversing from Siberia to Greenland on skis with Alain Hubert (2007), Circumavigation of Spitzbergen (2005), Bering Strait Odyssey - the final crossing of the Bering Strait (2005), Belgian Northeast Greenland Expedition where Dixie and Julie travelled on board of an icebreaker (2005), Antarctica with Louis Beyens, (2004), the North Pole (2003), Compaq Pole II (2002): the ultimate arctic crossing on unstable ice as well as crossing the entire South Pole on foot with Alain Hubert (1997 - 1998).
