Sir Stirling Moss is one of the most versatile drivers in history, competing and winning in Formula One, Two and Three, rallies and touring car races. During his professional career he drove 84 different types of automobiles in 495 events, finished in 366 of them and won an amazing 222 times. In 1962 he crashed at Goodwood in his F.1 Lotus. He was unconscious for one month and paralysed for six. In a few brief months he had recovered and felt he could drive again.
A UK motor racing legend
Stirling runs Stirling Moss Ltd and appeared in the 1999 New Years Honours List to receive a knighthood. In 2004 he received the Motorsport Industry Association (MIA) award for Most Outstanding Contribution to the UK Motorsport Industry.
