Ciaran Gribbin

Lead Singer of INXS

About Ciaran Gribbin

Ciaran Gribbin is the lead singer of INXS. He is a Grammy nominated songwriter who has worked with artists such as Snow Patrol, Madonna and Paul McCartney and has also written and produced soundtracks for movies.

Ciaran grew up in the inner city of Belfast, Northern Ireland during difficult times. He formed a small band, wrote and performed the songs and toured the pubs in Belfast. He then split from the band to give himself more creative and performance freedom. With so much talent he soon found himself working on shows and tours with many artists including Paul McCartney, The Script and James Morrison amongst others whilst co-writing with various artists including Paul Oakenfold, Groove Armada and William Orbit.

Then having co-written a number of songs with Andrew Farriss of INXS, he was invited to join the band as lead singer and toured with them in South America, Europe and Australia. Standing on stage in front of thousands of fans, he realised just how far he had come.

Ciaran said at the time of joining he was overwhelmed to be working with the band, “especially when I look up and see that my writing partner is one of the greatest songwriters of our time.”
Ciaran has since moved on from INXS, although not necessarily permanently, and has carved out a very successful solo career, recording, co-producing and performing songs, working with top film, TV and music industry people.

Ciaran’s passionate personality is proving successful in another direction as well; his creativity inspires people with his tale of triumphing over adversity. His corporate speaking is highly entertaining as well as being highly professional. He can give motivational speeches, talking about triumphing over adversity, as well as leading song-writing group sessions – a truly unique team-building highlight.
