He rose to fame as Britain’s sole representative in boxing at the 2004 Athens Olympics, winning a silver medal at the age of 17 in the lightweight boxing category. Amir then turned professional in 2005, after which time he won numerous fights and secured sponsorship contracts with Reebok and Harrods. Over the years Amir rode high at the top of his game to a rapturous reception in Britain, Stateside and beyond. Amir remains a remarkably grounded, focused and dedicated individual who has become one of the brightest stars the UK has produced.
