Andreas Ekström brings a journalist’s curiosity and a futurist’s perspective to some of the defining questions of the digital age. His focus is not technology for technology’s sake, but the sociology of technology: who controls it, who benefits from it, how it changes behaviour and what organisations and societies should do in response. His long-standing mission is to promote digital equality and a more democratic internet, encouraging audiences to think critically about the systems shaping modern life.

His thinking has evolved significantly alongside the technology landscape. His current keynote, Organic Intelligence, examines the human role in the AI revolution and asks what capabilities organisations should value when machines become increasingly powerful. Andreas argues that the future depends not simply on the AI organisations buy, but on the human knowledge, creativity, experience, values and collaboration they nurture. The keynote encourages leaders to approach AI with curiosity, continuous learning and thoughtful decision-making rather than simplistic predictions or short-lived checklists.

Andreas is also the author of The Tyranny of Convenience, which explores how digitalisation has affected our autonomy and society. In 2026, he published Two Boys, a deeply personal book exploring friendship, loss and the meaning of life, adding another dimension to his work as a storyteller and author.
