His style of comedy, and ability to perform an entirely clean set without compromising on the laughs (but also to ‘strengthen’ the language when appropriate, without descending into vulgarity) and his relative maturity and reference points have made him a great hit with audiences perhaps tired of hearing the same old jokes from some of the more ‘mainstream’ comedians.

In early 2010, Simon Evans supported Lee Mack on his UK tour – Going Out. He has performed one man shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe since 2000 and has performed at the New Zealand Comedy Festival 2002, Cape Town Comedy Festival 2001 as well as in Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, Beijing, Winnipeg and Dubai. In July 2004 he performed at the Just for Laughs festival in Montreal, and the following spring at the Aspen Comedy Festival in Colorado. As a writer, Simon has worked on Lee Mack’s sit-com Not Going Out and 8 Out Of 10 Cats, he was also the co-creator of the panel show Argumental.
