Stand Up Comedian & Writer
Simon Evans is an established UK comedy act who has appeared on many television shows including Live at the Apollo and Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow. He has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe and toured succesfully around the UK. Leading comedy review site Chortle says "his sharp, acidic barbs remain a rich delight".
"Intelligent, supremely well-composed"
In early 2010, Simon Evans supported Lee Mack on his UK tour – Going Out. He has performed one man shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe since 2000 and has performed at the New Zealand Comedy Festival 2002, Cape Town Comedy Festival 2001 as well as in Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, Beijing, Winnipeg and Dubai. In July 2004 he performed at the Just for Laughs festival in Montreal, and the following spring at the Aspen Comedy Festival in Colorado. As a writer, Simon has worked on Lee Mack’s sit-com Not Going Out and 8 Out Of 10 Cats, he was also the co-creator of the panel show Argumental.
Prompting reviewers to describe him as "demonically dry" and "sublime" Evans is one of those stand-ups who just seem to have been hit by the funny stick. The delivery is relentless and the material intelligent and sharp.
