Sir Chris Hoy is a world-class athlete whose career demonstrates what sustained excellence really requires. After winning his first Olympic gold in Athens in 2004, he adapted when the Kilo was removed from the Olympic programme, switching his focus to sprint disciplines and winning three gold medals at Beijing 2008. He added two further golds at London 2012, becoming Britain’s most successful Olympic athlete at the time, before retiring from competitive cycling in 2013. Since then, Chris has built an impressive second career spanning motorsport, business, publishing and broadcasting. He launched HOY Bikes, competed at Le Mans and became a familiar voice on major cycling events.
