Sara Davies is the founder and creative director of Crafter’s Companion. Sara established Crafter’s Companion while studying for a Business Management degree at York University. During a placement at a small craft company, she spotted a gap in the market for a tool that could create bespoke envelopes for handmade cards.

With help from her retired engineer father, Sara designed and launched a ground-breaking craft product called The Enveloper. As no stranger to the media, Sara was a contestant on the nineteenth season of Strictly Come Dancing. She was the host of the television craft show Be Creative in 2015. Sara is also a regular on television shopping channels where she promotes and demonstrates the products offered by Crafters Companion. In 2015, Startups.co.uk named her Young Guns Entrepreneur of the Year and was awarded Young Female Entrepreneur of the Year and Entrepreneur of the Year at the Stevie Women in Business Awards and Shell Women of the Future Awards, respectively. She was also awarded the prestigious Ernst & Young Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2010.
