Fran’s career offers a rare case study in how high-performing cultures are deliberately created, sustained and transferred across very different environments. At Team Sky, her focus on behaviours, values and people complemented the team’s relentless pursuit of performance, helping create an environment in which individuals could perform collectively at the highest level. She later led the transition from Team Sky to Team INEOS, managing change while maintaining the organisation’s ambition and identity.

Fran’s role in the INEOS 1:59 Challenge provides another compelling example of her approach. The project brought together elite athletes, scientists, engineers, researchers and operational specialists around a single extraordinary objective. Fran described the undertaking as a huge operation, with extensive planning and preparation required to help Eliud Kipchoge make history. The result was a landmark 1:59:40.2 marathon in Vienna, a powerful demonstration of teamwork, preparation, culture and collective belief.

In 2020, Fran became CEO of British heritage brand Belstaff, where she applied her people-led leadership philosophy to organisational and brand transformation. She is now bringing this breadth of experience to Rapha, combining commercial ambition with her belief in strong culture, engaged people and purposeful leadership.
